After downsizing to this inner-city, architect-designed home, the clients decided to start afresh with their furniture and furnishings to create a more contemporary vibe suited to their new home and lifestyle as empty nesters. Moving from their family home where they raised four children, they desired a space reflecting their new phase
of life.

To honour the contemporary architecture and rich history of this home, I combined modern furnishings with contemporary classics and incorporated the clients’ impressive art collection. The goal was to create a warm and inviting environment for the couple, while also providing a space suitable for entertaining their family and friends. The main bedroom was transformed into a luxurious retreat, while guest rooms were thoughtfully decorated for family members who live interstate. And with the arrival of a new granddaughter, the fourth bedroom was transformed into a stylish nursery.
